Our goal in breeding is to produce healthy, well-constructed, quality puppies that are versatile and able to do well at various jobs, dog sports, and activities, and who will excel as family companions.  We do not breed for any extremes but rather a well-rounded and balanced dog.  The versatility of the breed lead it to serve as a herding dog, military dog, police dog, detection dog, Search and Rescue dog, guide dog for the blind, and most importantly, a loyal and naturally protective, family dog.

 

Our puppies are born and raised in our home and handled daily.  As they grow they visit safe places, interact with cats, play with our other dogs, are well socialized with visitors, and are exposed to various sounds, sights, and surfaces.  See our policies page to learn about our complete 3 year health warranty, and more our pups come with.

"Crizzly Bear"

 

She will bond strongly and be very affectionate towards her family.  She is alert and watchful towards strangers, barking if someone new comes on the property or demonstrates odd behavior.  She gets along great with dogs she knows of either sex, and although interested, has been completely safe around cats.  She will light up for the tug, and works easily for food, but she loves the ball the most.  Her ball drive is very high and she will retrieve until you stop, but does not harass you with toys when you are trying to relax.  She is content to lay on the couch or curl up in bed with you and does not need to work all the time, but does have ample energy for whenever you are in the mood.  

 

She is started on basic obedience and has been going to group training classes.  She will make a great companion, and could be a nice agility, herding, or fly-ball prospect.  She has good structure, nice functional angulations, slender and agile build, aims to please, has a happy attitude, and is smart.  She was born, raised, and lives in the home, and we require that she continues to be a house dog.  She is ideal for an active couple or someone living alone that wants a sense of security in and away from home.  She is environmentally sound and behaves fine in public, but does not readily make friends with strangers and should go to an experienced working breed home so she doesn't become overly protective in the wrong hands.

 

Per request we can get her hips and/or elbows x-rayed at the prospective buyer's expense.  She is DM (Degenerative Myelopathy) cleared by both parents being DNA tested.  Both parents are from full "DDR" or East German imported bloodlines, AKC registered, and have many OFA health certifications, including passing hips and elbows.  All of our puppies come with a full money-back health guarantee, detailed in our purchase contract.  At this time we are selling her as working/pet quality, to a non-breeding home, as her temperament may be too suspicious to meet our breeding quality requirements as put forth in our contract.  Price reduced to $1000 as we would like her to find her permanent home soon.
